How about that

The weekend is just around the corner and I'm looking forward to it. I can, hopefully, continue reading the book "The store on Blossom Street" by Debbie Macomber. I like the book so far. One of my friends mentioned this book to me and that she liked it. It's about a yarn shop on Blossom Street that is attracting an eclectic group of women. Have you ever read the book "The Mulberry Tree" by Jude Deveraux? While reading it I got the greatest sensation to start canning because that's what the leading character does in the book. I may start knitting with this book. I used to knit, then crochet, then crossstitch, then . . . . I don't know why but I dive head into doing something that looks so cool and different and then, it fades. I lose interest. I no longer want to do something that was terribly interesting for me only days ago. I wonder if there are other people out there who have this issue?

Green is In

I'm trying to be green. Not a sick green but a more eco friendly green. I bought three canvas bags (gave one to Mom) and have been using them at the grocery store . . . or at least when I remember to bring them with me :) I'm thinking about getting those refillable water bottles from LL Bean. They look cool and I think about how many plastic bottles this will save.

I just got done reading "The English American". I liked it especially the part about Jack. Alison did a good job of voicing Pippa's feelings (and opinions). I recommend this book if you want to learn about the English (and about how to make a good cup of tea) and see the many differences there are between the Americans and the English.

Artstreet is coming! August 22 - 24. I don't know why, but I like Artstreet.

I'm thinking of going to the farmer's market on Broadway. Paula and I went to the Saturday morning farmer's market and boy was that busy! I went the weekend before and it was fine but what an explosion this weekend. This is good for all the local farmers and creative people. My favorite stand? I enjoy the fromage stand and the cement leaves stand. I don't know why. Maybe next Wednesday we can take Duncan with us to the farmer's market. A picture of Duncan on Mom's couch is above. Back from vacation

I just got back from vacation and it's hard to get into the groove of things again. I wish I could be sitting on the beach listening to the water lapping up onto the sand with a great mystery novel in my hands. Oh well. I finished the book "Angels Fall" by Nora Roberts. I almost didn't pick it out of the Library book sale because I didn't like the title but I soon discovered that the title is the name of the town its set in. I'm currently reading a new Nora Roberts novel but I can't remember the name. I rented the movie for "Angels Fall" and didn't really like it. The casting of Heather Locklear was not good. She did not fit the role and didn't the town have a lake? I guess the movie people couldn't afford the lake.
